REH 5314 - Counseling Persons/Deaf/Hear
The course will focus on the application of basic principles underlying all forms of therapeutic interaction to professional counseling practices with individuals who are deaf or haard of hearing, psychological, social and vocational implications of deafness, extensive review of the rehabilitation service system's response to the unique needs of people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Pre-requisites: Basic sign language skills and/or consent of the department
